The only Federally licensed zoo of its kind in the United States, Popcorn Park was established in 1977 for the sole purpose of providing a refuge for wildlife that is elderly, sick, abandoned, abuse or injured, and which could no longer survive in the wild. As time went on, we expanded to accept exotic and domesticated animals who faced the same circumstances. Over 200 of these animals now live in spacious surroundings in the heart of the scenic Pine Barrens. Hours: 11AM to 5 PM, 7 days a week.
Admission: Adults $3.25, Seniors & Children are $2.25   DIRECTIONS - Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 74; turn West (left) onto Lacey Road and go 6.7 miles to Humane Way. Turn right at Society sign.

20,229 acres consisting of cordgrass-saltgrass tidal marsh interspersed with tidal bays and channels. The refuge was established in 1939 for the protection of waterfowl in the Atlantic Flyway. Observe wildlife at close range from the comfort of your car. A self-guided auto tour leaflet is available ; the tour takes approx. 1 1/2 hrs. Open daily dawn to dusk. Garden State Pkwy south to exit 48, Rt. 9 south to Oceanville, then one mile east to refuge.
